{"id":111553,"date":"2026-02-11T23:43:18","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T23:43:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/111553\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T23:43:18","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T23:43:18","slug":"pa-man-pleads-guilty-to-impersonating-erie-police-luring-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/111553\/","title":{"rendered":"PA man pleads guilty to impersonating Erie police, luring children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourerie.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:WJET\/WFXP;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">WJET\/WFXP<\/a>) \u2014 The Pennsylvania man accused of luring children into his car at a popular City of Erie park while impersonating an Erie police officer has pleaded guilty, according to the Erie County District Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Assistant District Attorney Shane Kaliszewski said 36-year-old Jacob Clark of Mercer pleaded guilty to felony possession of a weapon, along with misdemeanor luring a child into a motor vehicle and impersonating a public servant on January 22.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.yourerie.com\/news\/local-news\/man-charged-for-allegedly-impersonating-police-luring-children\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Man charged for allegedly impersonating police, luring children;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"> Man charged for allegedly impersonating police, luring children <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Clark was set to head to trial for the September 30 incident at Frontier Park, where he lured three children to get in his car under the promise of giving them marijuana while pretending to be a member of the Erie Police Department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said Clark then drove the children to a second location, and he was arrested after one child felt unsafe and texted their mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.yourerie.com\/news\/local-news\/north-east-man-pleads-guilty-to-role-in-2025-child-endangerment-case\/?ipid=promo-link-block2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Erie man pleads guilty to role in 2025 child endangerment case;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"> Erie man pleads guilty to role in 2025 child endangerment case <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In exchange for the guilty plea, court records show prosecutors did not pursue another felony gun charge, felony drug possession and luring charges, along with misdemeanor luring, weapon and drug charges. Three counts of conspiracy to lure a child into a motor vehicle were also withdrawn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Clark will also have to undergo an evaluation for being a sexually violent predator, and once that\u2019s complete, he will be sentenced in April, according to Kaliszewski.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
