Former Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> and Baltimore Ravens<\/a> wide receiver Miles Boykin<\/a> has announced his retirement from the NFL.<\/p>\n

Drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, Boykin played in the NFL for seven total season. He never lived up to the draft hype the Ravens thought he could be as a wide receiver, but he carved out of a path for himself in the NFL as an excellent special teamer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m beyond grateful for the sport of football,\u201d Boykin wrote on Instagram. \u201cThanks to my coaches, teammates and fans for their support. My family and friends, I appreciate your constant encouragement. This sport has taught me so many lessons, and I don\u2019t know where I would be without it! I\u2019m excited for this new chapter in my life and can\u2019t wait to see where it takes me!\u201d<\/p>\n

Boykin, 29, was with the Chicago Bears for part of this season before being released on November 8th. He failed to find a team following that, and has now decided to call it a career.<\/p>\n

After the Ravens let Boykin go after the 2021 season, the Steelers scooped him up, and he stuck around Pittsburgh for two seasons as an excellent punt gunner and special teamer. He rarely played offensively. <\/p>\n

In 2024, he left the Steelers to join the New York Giants, who released him, and later on, the Seattle Seahawks. <\/p>\n
