PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Lake Erie College is welcoming one of its own back to campus next month.<\/p>\n
Bestselling author and alumna Deborah Goodrich Royce will return to LCC on March 6 as part of the book tour for her latest novel, \u201cBest Boy.\u201d<\/p>\n
She will appear from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Rickel Theatre inside Royce Hall for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public, though tickets are required and must be reserved ahead of time.<\/p>\n
Royce will talk about \u201cBest Boy,\u201d and take questions from the audience during the evening program. Attendees will also have a chance to purchase copies of the book and have them signed after the discussion.<\/p>\n
\u201cBest Boy\u201d continues Royce\u2019s focus on deeply personal, character-driven stories that explore family, resilience and identity. The novel has been praised for its emotional depth and its look at complicated relationships \u2014 themes readers of her previous work will recognize.<\/p>\n
Before turning to fiction full time, Royce worked as a film producer, a background that shapes her storytelling style and sharp dialogue. She has since gone on to publish multiple novels and regularly appears at book festivals and author events across the country.<\/p>\n

The event is open to students, alumni, and members of the public. Seating is limited, and organizers encourage people to reserve tickets early.<\/p>\n
