PHILADELPHIA \u2013\u00a0The University of Pennsylvania baseball team\u00a0was picked to finish third in the Ivy League’s Preseason Media Poll, the league office announced today. Voting was conducted by media members that cover the Ancient Eight institutions. #QuakeShow | #FightOnPenn<\/p>\n \u00a0

\nWith 100 points, the Quakers were third behind preseason favorite Columbia, which received 118 points, and Yale, with 116 points. The Lions and Bulldogs also earned all of the first-place votes, Columbia gaining nine and Yale the other seven. Harvard (73), Princeton (49), Cornell (45), Dartmouth (41) and Brown (34) round out the field.

\nPenn has won either the Ivy League regular season (2022, 2023) or Ivy League Tournament (2023, 2024) title in three of the past four years and returns 25 letterwinners from last year’s squad.

\nFive All-Ivy players are back for the 2026 season: co-captain Jarrett Pokrovsky<\/a> (.335, 24 doubles, 33 RBI), Marty Coyne<\/a> (4-2, 3.89 ERA, 49 K), Gavin Collins<\/a> (.335, 4 home runs, 29 RBI), Davis Baker<\/a> (.277, 8 home runs, 39 RBI), and Nick Spaventa<\/a> (.293, 5 home runs, 29 RBI).

\nThe Quakers open the 2026 season with a three-game series at #25 Texas A&M from February 20-22 in College Station.
