BENSALEM, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Police in Bucks County are investigating the death of a Bensalem chiropractor.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the 3100 block of Hulmeville Road, north of Street Road, on Monday, Nov. 2 for a medical emergency.<\/p>\n
Once at the scene, they discovered the body of 64-year-old James Sowa.<\/p>\n
The Bucks County Coroner’s Office ruled the death a homicide. Officials said Sowa suffered blunt force trauma to the head.<\/p>\n

Police said Sowa resided at the home and operated his chiropractic practice there as well.<\/p>\n
His son spoke to Action News through tears about his father’s murder.<\/p>\n
“Our dad was the most kind, generous, hardworking man there was,” said Kurt Sowa. “He was selfless, and he would give the shirt off his back for you. He didn’t deserve this.”<\/p>\n
Detectives have been canvassing the home for clues.<\/p>\n
“It’s a bizarre case,” said Fred Harran, the director of Bensalem Township Police Department.<\/p>\n
Sowa lived in the house with his wife, Barbara, who said she went to work that morning, never to see her husband again.<\/p>\n
“He was just a good man. To know him was to love him. I can’t say enough,” said Barbara Sowa. ” Just was a good family man, and for this to happen to him. I’m just like there’s so much evil in the world because that was evil taking out good.”<\/p>\n
“This was a guy, a local guy, that was well known in our community, a local chiropractor, a nice guy and had a horrific death,” said Harran.<\/p>\n
The family said the chiropractic business has been in the neighborhood for 40 years.<\/p>\n
“Who could do that to him, he was the nicest person ever,” said Barbara Sowa. “He would have helped anybody, his patients, he would run to anyone’s house and help them with anything they needed.”<\/p>\n
The family is pleading for someone to come forward with information.<\/p>\n
“We love him, and if you’re out there, and you did this, you know we just want you to come forward, and turn yourself in. Our dad did not deserve this, he was a good man,” said Kurt Sowa.<\/p>\n
Police are asking anyone with information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 2 to call 215-633-3719.<\/p>\n
