Erie\u2019s youth at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie were able to learn all different aspects of basketball in a clinic put together by the Club and LECOM.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so lucky that LECOM reached out to us, they are such such a great community partner and their relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers is really going to benefit these kids.<\/p>\n
This is the second year now that the Cavaliers organization is coming in to do these clinics, it is fantastic and an opportunity that these kids otherwise would not have,\u201d said Joe Grucza, Director of Program Operations at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie.<\/p>\n
After practice, LECOM student volunteers made sure that the young players were well-fed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI played basketball in high school and community is something really important to me\u2026seeing these kids light up and smile and be able to work together is something I am passionate about it, so I\u2019m excited to be here,\u201d said LECOM student and volunteer, Slate Bretz.<\/p>\n
\u201cI take pride in community service and volunteering, so when I saw this I was really excited to sign up,\u201d said LECOM student and volunteer, Arushi Rao.<\/p>\n
