Pennsylvania bettors wagered a total of $59,275,463 on last weekend\u2019s Super Bowl game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, as per the state’s Gaming Control Board.<\/p>\n
The bets, placed both online and at retail sportsbooks, generated $18,143,469 in revenue for the Commonwealth. The total is down 41.6% from last year\u2019s record $101.5 million wagered on the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
However, in 2025,\u00a0the majority of wagers were placed on the Eagles. As a result, winning bets created a negative revenue of $6,532,147 last year, according to the PGCB, despite the overall higher activity.<\/p>\n
Since Pennsylvania legalized sports wagering in 2020, the Eagles\u2019 two Super Bowl appearances have produced the highest betting totals in the state\u2019s seven-year history. In 2023, when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, Pennsylvania bettors wagered $84,313,189, generating a record $29,722,902 in revenue because most bets favored the Eagles.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s revenue total ranks as the second-highest in the state\u2019s Super Bowl betting history. Bettors had access to 17 retail sportsbooks and 11 online platforms, with online wagers accounting for 90.6% of the total.<\/p>\n
