Bethlehem Township fire crews responded to a house fire Thursday night that resulted in two firefighters being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Northampton County 911 dispatched firefighters about 9:30 p.m. to the township\u2019s 2000 block of 15th Street for a reported house fire.<\/p>\n
Deputy Fire Chief Eric Norder arrived to find flames showing from the rear of the home. Crews from the Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township Volunteer fire companies quickly began battling the blaze.<\/p>\n
Two civilians were evaluated at the scene by EMS but were not transported to the hospital. The two firefighters were later evaluated and treated by EMS before being taken to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
The Palmer Municipal Fire Department, Upper Nazareth Fire Department and Suburban EMS assisted at the scene.<\/p>\n
Norder reminded residents to maintain clear access to fire hydrants on their property. <\/p>\n
