Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert<\/a> is one of Philadelphia\u2019s four premier free agents, and most expect he won\u2019t be back next season, especially after taking a pay cut last offseason to come back for one more year when he was hoping for an extension. <\/p>\n

But don\u2019t count him out just yet.<\/p>\n

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, it\u2019s possible Goedert and the Eagles could still work something out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know Dallas would like to come back, all things equal,” Garafolo said Friday on The Anthony Gargano show.<\/a><\/p>\n

With the Eagles only having one tight end under contract in 2026, general manager Howie Roseman will have to retool that position through free agency and the draft. Garafolo believes the Eagles could re-sign Goedert to a one-year deal and draft his long-term successor in April.<\/p>\n

Goedert, 31, is still an above-average starting tight end. Spotrac projects him to earn just over $6 million per year on his next contract, which is pretty cheap for someone of his caliber.<\/p>\n

He finished the 2025 season with 60 catches for 591 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is one of the best red-zone targets in the NFL, which will make him a valuable addition for any team. <\/p>\n

Injuries have been his biggest problem since entering the league in 2018. He has missed 23 games due to various ailments.
