The Lake Erie Crushers<\/a> are preparing for a busy 2026 season and are looking to add more than 100 employees to their roster.<\/p>\n

The organization will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at ForeFront Field, 2009 Baseball Blvd. in Avon.<\/p>\n

The event is aimed at filling part-time, seasonal and internship positions.<\/p>\n

Vic Gregovits, president of the Crushers, said the decision to host a larger-scale hiring event reflects the continued growth of the organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one of those things that we\u2019re looking to expand our staff with the variety of more events that we are hosting here, all year round,\u201d Gregovits said. \u201cWe just felt hosting an event and getting people here and into the environment and have the ability to talk to them would be a good opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Open positions include concessions workers, parking attendants, ushers, in-game production staff, stadium operations, marketing, retail and kid zone staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a great place to work. It\u2019s a fun atmosphere,\u201d Gregovits said. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to elevate the experience of coming to ForeFront Field for all events, really.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, we want to get the right team members in place to do that, and they\u2019ll have fun doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Crushers host 51 home baseball games each season, ForeFront Field operates as a year-round venue with more than 200 events annually.<\/p>\n

The stadium will host USL2 soccer, concerts, festivals, MMA and boxing events.<\/p>\n

The Mid-American Conference Baseball Championship will return to Avon for a week in May, and high school regional baseball games are scheduled for early June.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve always said ForeFront Field is a community asset, and we believe it should be a community asset for everybody and every walk of life,\u201d Gregovits said.<\/p>\n

The organization also is offering internships for college students.\u00a0Opportunities are available in marketing, sales, operations, merchandising and food and beverage.<\/p>\n

Many internships are eligible for college credit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe rely quite a bit on our interns throughout the summer,\u201d Gregovits said. \u201cIt\u2019s a cool place to get your experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gregovits emphasized the importance of hiring locally.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving folks from the community here is really, really important for us,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have local people that understand expectations, take pride in what they do, and we have a great base to pull from.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applicants who attend will have the opportunity to meet supervisors and potentially secure positions on the spot.<\/p>\n
