A Subway sandwich store in Pittsburgh has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.<\/p>\n
According to an inspection conducted on Thursday, Subway on the 900 block of Ridge Avenue in the North Side was hit with 10 total violations, including two considered high-risk.<\/p>\n
Those high-risk violations include improper cooling of food.<\/p>\n
Tuna said that was prepared at room temperature and two pans made at 11:30 a.m. measured at 53 degrees over four hours after it was made. Prepared foods must reach the safe temperature of 41 degrees or lower within four hours.<\/p>\n
Other foods in the walk-in cooler measuring above 41 degrees included sliced salami and ham, both at 48 degrees.<\/p>\n
Food in the sandwich prep area measuring above the safe temperature include tuna salad, roast chicken, cut tomatoes and sliced cheese.<\/p>\n
The ambient temperature in the walk-in cooler measured between 45 and 48 degrees.<\/p>\n
The restaurant is ordered closed until reinspection and it\u2019s shown that refrigeration that can maintain foods at 41 degrees or lower.<\/p>\n
