Erie News Now has an update about a young girl from Erie that received a heart after four years of waiting for a transplant.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn Morehouse is ten years old . We first met her when she and her family at the American Heart Association\u2019s “Erie Heart Walk” in September of 2024.<\/p>\n

She was carrying a sign that simply said, \u201cI need a heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brooklyn was battling Hypo-plastic left heart syndrome.<\/p>\n

Erie News Now has learned just this week, Brooklyn’s family got the call.<\/p>\n

It came in at 11 pm on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

She was at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital at 11 am on Thursday and underwent surgery.<\/p>\n

Now, Brooklyn s now recovering with a new heart.
