The Pittsburgh Steelers could lose a key piece on their offensive line in free agency. Mason Cameron of Pro Football Focus<\/a> projects veteran left guard Isaac Seumalo<\/a> to land with the Las Vegas Raiders. <\/p>\n

Seumalo is one of several prominent<\/a> free agents<\/a> for the Steelers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFormer Seahawks offensive coordinator and new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak understands the importance of establishing a diverse run game to better allow for shot plays in the passing game through play action,\u201d Cameron wrote<\/a>. \u201cSeumalo\u2019s skill set pairs well with that mentality. The 32-year-old guard has been excellent throughout his career with the Eagles and Stee<\/a>lers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring his three seasons in Pittsburgh, Seumalo showcased his talent as a run blocker in gap (82nd percentile) and zone (92nd percentile) concepts. But where he really sets himself apart is through his ability to sell the run out of play action without overextending, having generated the fourth-highest play-action PFF pass-blocking grade (87.8) among guards over the past three seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seumalo has been a stalwart on Pittsburgh\u2019s offensive line since joining the team in 2023. However, his three-year deal is set to expire at the end of the 2025 season and many think the Steelers will opt to continue their youth movement along their offensive line.<\/p>\n

Greg Auman of Fox Sports also expects Seumalo to walk in free agency. He has Seumalo landing with the AFC Champion New England Patriots<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cSeumalo, 32, graded out as Pro Football Focus\u2019 No. 16 guard as he wrapped up a three-year, $24 million deal. He made the Pro Bowl in 2024, so the question is whether he can command more at 32 than he did at 29,\u201d Auman wrote<\/a>. \u201cDoes a coaching change in Pittsburgh impact his likelihood to return there? Mike Tomlin is out of football, and Arthur Smith went to the college ranks, but one option is his line coach, Pat Meyer, who is now in Buffalo and might need a reliable guard if\u00a0David Edwards\u00a0signs elsewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh used first-round selections on offensive tackles\u00a0Broderick Jones<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Troy Fautanu<\/a>, a second-round pick on center\u00a0Zach Frazier<\/a>\u00a0and a fourth-rounder on right guard\u00a0Mason McCormick<\/a> in recent years and could decide to do so once again in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Steelers may already have Seumalo\u2019s replacement on the roster, too. Backup guard Spencer Anderson<\/a> has already filled in for Seumalo on several occasions when he has been injured, and he played quite well when doing so.<\/p>\n

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Seumalo was selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Oregon State by the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n
