It\u2019s located at 454 W. Ridge Pike in Limerick Township.<\/p>\n<p>                                    Sheetz<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be experiencing good, wholesome, not-so-good-for-you food, and great coffee,\u201d said Amy Rudolph of Collegeville.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz leaders say they\u2019ve been hearing from Montgomery County residents for years, asking when the company would expand east. Now they\u2019re here. And customers are curious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m still shocked that there\u2019s a Sheetz across from a Wawa. Like, it\u2019s crazy to me,\u201d said Emika Poole of Limerick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to try, like, all the new food they have and see how the competition will be,\u201d added Devyn Poole.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz presented a $2,500 donation to Philabundance, a nonprofit that distributes food throughout nine counties in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, customers who donated a non-perishable item to Philabundance during the grand-opening celebration received Sheetz swag.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz also presented a $2,500 check to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. A proud supporter of the Special Olympics for more than 30 years, Sheetz extends its support to the organization through product donations and event volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz, headquartered in Altoona, Blair County, aims to offer &#8220;kicked-up convenience while being more than just a convenience store,&#8221; according to a company description.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s like the old days where you had a McDonald\u2019s and a Burger King right next to each other,\u201d said Matthew March of Royersford.<\/p>\n<p>The National Retail Federation says convenience chains like this are expanding fast, as customers look for quick food, coffee and drive-thru options all in one stop.<\/p>\n<p>For some, it\u2019s still about that Pennsylvania rivalry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe competition was fierce. Ridge Pike in Limerick Township.<\/p>\n<p>                                    Sheetz<\/p>\n<p>The company is known for its made-to-order food, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, burritos and appetizers, and specialty drinks such as cold-brew coffee, lattes, smoothies and milkshakes.<\/p>\n<p>The chain operates more than 800 locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland, with all locations open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.<\/p>\n<p>The company continues to expand its footprint in the region, with the Lehigh Valley\u2019s ninth location <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/features\/eat-sip-shop\/after-weather-related-delays-new-sheetz-in-northampton-county-targets-spring-opening\/article_c7e9e407-39cb-4ead-9ea5-ded96721bb0c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">set to open this spring<\/a> at Main Street (Route 412) and Kichline Ave. in Hellertown, Northampton County.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Upper Macungie Township supervisors last week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/area\/lehighvalley\/lehigh-county\/western-lehigh-county\/plan-for-new-sheetz-with-drive-up-for-food-clears-hurdle-in-upper-macungie\/article_0694db05-b8ad-49e7-a588-3054ac1ab280.html#tncms-source=Homepage-Top-Stories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">granted conditional use approval<\/a> for a new convenience store and gas station in the township.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal calls for an auto service station with accessory convenience store and drive-up window service on two vacant parcels at 871 N.
