<\/p>\n INDIANA, Pa. \u2014 Indiana University of Pennsylvania used balanced scoring, strong rebounding and defensive pressure to defeat Slippery Rock University 80-43 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women’s basketball action Saturday at the Kovalchick Complex.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Indiana steadily built control throughout the game, leading 18-11 after the first quarter and 39-19 at halftime before a decisive third quarter pushed the game out of reach.<\/p>\n
Teresa Maggio<\/a> led the Crimson Hawks with 13 points, while Marin Miller<\/a> also reached double figures with 12. Molly Keane<\/a> recorded a double-double off the bench with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Nyshae’ Weaver<\/a> added nine points, 11 rebounds and six assists, and Ellie Wilkerson<\/a> chipped in nine points with three steals.<\/p>\n
Belle Bosch<\/a> contributed six points and seven rebounds, while Madison Zavasky<\/a> added nine points and six boards as Indiana dominated the glass and moved the ball efficiently throughout the contest.<\/p>\n
Defensively, the Crimson Hawks limited Slippery Rock’s scoring opportunities and controlled the tempo throughout the second half, turning stops into transition offense.<\/p>\n
The victory keeps Indiana firmly in the PSAC race as the Crimson Hawks continue building momentum heading deeper into conference play.<\/p>\n
