{"id":115078,"date":"2026-02-16T08:32:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T08:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/115078\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T08:32:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T08:32:07","slug":"marjorie-taylor-greene-denounces-christian-prosecution-in-bethlehem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/115078\/","title":{"rendered":"Marjorie Taylor Greene denounces Christian prosecution in Bethlehem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former US congresswoman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/marjorie-taylor-greene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a>\u00a0met the Mayor of Bethlehem on Sunday, she announced in a post on X\/Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Greene lauded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/sports\/article-886385\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bethlehem<\/a> for being the birthplace of Jesus, but condemned alleged &#8220;Christian persecution&#8221; occurring in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;What is the Holy Land without Christians?&#8221; Greene rhetorically asked in her post.<\/p>\n<p>According to Greene, Mayor Maher Nicola Canawati described Christians being killed in the bombings in Gaza, as well as churches being attacked.
