A 15-year-old riding\u00a0an electric motorized vehicle\u00a0at the intersection of Erie Parkway and Briggs Street was hit by a passenger vehicle and taken to the hospital Friday evening, according to the Erie Police Department.<\/p>\n

The teen remained in \u201cserious condition\u201d Saturday afternoon, a post<\/a> from the department said.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe fundraising page<\/a> organized by an Erie resident, for a boy who was injured late Friday \u201cwhile riding his e-bike home from a friends house,\u201d had received over $25,000 in donations as of noon Monday. Erie restaurant Piripi announced it will contribute 15% of all sales on Tuesday to support an Erie family following a Friday-night crash.<\/p>\n

The e-bicycle accident was one of three serious crashes in Erie over the weekend. A toddler died after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon; and an 18-year-old Commerce City man died early Sunday in a high-speed, single-car crash on Erie Parkway<\/a> that seriously injured another man.<\/p>\n
