Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman John Leglue announced his NFL retirement on X on Monday.<\/p>\n
For the second day in a row, a former Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> offensive lineman retired. On Monday, it was interior offensive lineman John Leglue.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old revealed his retirement plans via a social media post on X.<\/p>\n \u201cForever grateful for the opportunity to have achieved my childhood dream of competing at the highest level. Many dream of playing in the NFL<\/a>, but few truly understand the discipline, sacrifice, and commitment it takes to get there. I\u2019m thankful for every high, low, scar, lesson, and brother this sport brought into my life,\u201d wrote Leglue<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you to every coach, teammate, and organization that believed in a small town Louisiana kid and gave me the chance to live out this dream. To Tulane University and every NFL team I had the honor of playing for, thank you for trusting me and allowing me to wear your colors.\u201d<\/p>\n Leglue didn\u2019t specifically mention the Steelers in his message. But of the four pictures he included with his message, three of them were with Leglue wearing black and gold.<\/p>\n \u201cTo the game that gave me everything, thank you,\u201d concluded Leglue. \u201cExcited for this next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n Forever grateful for the opportunity to have achieved my childhood dream of competing at the highest level. Many dream of playing in the NFL, but few truly understand the discipline, sacrifice, and commitment it takes to get there. I\u2019m thankful for every high, low, scar, lesson, <\/p>\n Leglue played<\/a> six games with the Steelers during the 2021 season. He started five of those contests.<\/p>\n The only other NFL regular season appearance he made was with the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> in 2023.
