The Borough of Exeter marked the beginning of the Wyoming Avenue-Schooley Avenue Sanitary and Storm Sewer Rehabilitation Project on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The $8 million project replaces aged and deteriorating sewer lines that separate the storm and sanitary sewer systems and reduces the risk of sewage backups, flooding and environmental contamination.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has taken us years to assemble the financing, and we have a lot of people to thank,\u201d said Mayor Denise Adams.<\/p>\n

The project has been made possible by $969,000 of PA Department of Community & Economic Development LSA Grants and a $6.9M USDA Rural Development loan.<\/p>\n

The project will take 18 months to complete, and culminate with the repaving of Wyoming Avenue.<\/p>\n
