PAINESVILLE, Ohio \u2014 The Albion hunt seat equestrian team earned third in both weekend shows hosted by Lake Erie College from February 14-15.<\/p>\n

The Britons ended their normal season second in the region out of eight teams and only a slim number of points away from winning the region.<\/p>\n

On the first day of competition, Phoebe Martin<\/a> earned second in open fences and fourth in open flat.<\/p>\n

Anna Harvey<\/a> was the lone winner for the Britons, claiming the top spot in novice.<\/p>\n

Maggie Sorrelle<\/a> was runner-up in limit flat, and Rebecca Till<\/a> was also second in limit fences.<\/p>\n

Simone Taylor<\/a> (fourth, intermediate flat) and Katie Worner (sixth, intermediate fences) were Albion’s top finishers in their respective events.<\/p>\n

The second day boded well for Martin, who won open fences. Beatrice Eng-McDonald<\/a> finished runner-up in limit flat, while Lucia Souten (third, intermediate flat) and Anna Huard<\/a> (third, open flat) rounded out the riders who earned sports in the top three individually.<\/p>\n

Aine Carey<\/a> was fourth in limit fences, while Sorrelle (fifth, intermediate fences) and Chelsea Ramdahn (fifth, intro) were the best Britons in their events.<\/p>\n

Melaney Duenas Lopez<\/a> and Olivia Swiliniski each claimed sixth in novice.<\/p>\n
