The former Reading Co. T-1 4-8-4, which returned to service in 2022, is operated on several excursions annually over the Reading &amp; Northern Railroad. Travis Mackey<\/p>\n<p>READING, Pa. \u2014 A clear, crisp Pennsylvania winter day greeted passengers and enthusiasts for the Reading &amp; Northern\u2019s winter Iron Horse Ramble.\u00a0The excursion traveled the Reading Division main line between Reading Outer Station and Jim Thorpe, Pa., on Saturday, Feb. 14, Valentine\u2019s Day. This was the second time the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trains.com\/trn\/railroads\/locomotives\/reading-t-1-4-8-4-2102-steam-locomotive-profile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Reading T-1 4-8-4 No. 2102<\/a> has led a winter ramble, the other being in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>No. 2102 is next scheduled to power an excursion train on May 23, again traveling from Reading Outer Station to Jim Thorpe, Pa. Tickets are currently available on the railroad\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rbmnrr-passenger.com\/rambles-jimthorpe\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-248238 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/TRN-TDC-No.-2101-winter-barn.jpeg\" alt=\"Black steam locomotive passing a red barn in a snowy landscape.
