{"id":11649,"date":"2025-10-22T19:54:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T19:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/11649\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T19:54:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T19:54:25","slug":"former-reading-eagle-building-up-for-sale-again-berks-regional-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/11649\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Reading Eagle building up for sale again | Berks Regional News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>READING, Pa. &#8211; The former Reading Eagle building in the 300 block of Penn Street is back on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Reading&#8217;s community development director says the building is in the &#8220;City Revitalization and Improvement Zone,&#8221; or CRIZ, and he hopes it can become a retail or entertainment destination.<\/p>\n<p>That zone allows for certain tax dollars to be reinvested in the area.<\/p>\n<p>A company acquired the building in 2019 and planned to use it for business and shopping spaces.
