{"id":117015,"date":"2026-02-18T11:50:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T11:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/117015\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T11:50:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T11:50:07","slug":"perry-city-council-takes-no-action-on-second-reading-of-zoning-ordinances-raccoon-valley-radio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/117015\/","title":{"rendered":"Perry City Council Takes No Action on Second Reading of Zoning Ordinances | Raccoon Valley Radio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n         <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"4272\" height=\"2848\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/perry-city-council.webp.webp\" class=\"alignleft full-img-class wp-post-image\" alt=\"perry-city-council-11\" wpb-att-id=\"502094\" wpb-att-extension=\"jpg\" data-wpbsize=\"full\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Perry City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, due to the President\u2019s Day holiday.<\/p>\n<p>The Perry Rotary Club awarded Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks the 2025 Civil Servant of the Year Award at the beginning of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution authorizing and approving a loan agreement, providing for the sale and issuance of general obligation bonds and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same and a pay application for the wastewater treatment facility improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Other items that were approved included resolutions awarding a quote for the 2026 crack sealing project to Parking Lot Specialties, LLC and approving the Print Fleet Management Contract for the administrative office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The council also held the second and third readings of an ordinance rezoning a parcel from agricultural district to light industrial in the Perry Industrial Park.<\/p>\n<p>The council took no action on the second readings of the other two zoning ordinances. The ordinances would change the zoning district from agricultural and light industrial to residential multi-family for two apartment proposals, with one located near Iowa Street and the other on 3rd Street.<\/p>\n<p>Council members requested additional information about the proposals from the developers.
