Erie will host a gathering for the community Friday after three young people were seriously injured or killed in crashes over the weekend.<\/p>\n
Community members can drop in to the Columbine Lounge in the Erie Community Center from 8 a.m to 6 p.m. to \u201cshare well-wishes and messages of support for the families impacted\u201d and \u201cexpress gratitude and encouragement for the first responders involved,\u201d a town newsletter emailed on Tuesday reads.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese sudden losses and injuries have deeply affected families, friends, first responders, and neighbors across Erie,\u201d the newsletter adds.<\/p>\n
Boulder County Co-Responders with crisis intervention expertise will be on site throughout the day to provide support and help connect individuals to additional resources. The town said it will also be a space to \u201coffer thoughts and ideas on how we can improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
There is no program or agenda for the event.<\/p>\n
