\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Laura F. Schaeffer, 103, of Birdsboro, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n
Born on March 8, 1922, in Kulptown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Kohl and Mabel Kohl.<\/p>\n
Laura worked at AT&T Technologies as an etcher until retirement. She volunteered at the gift shop at Saint Joseph\u2019s Hospital on 12th St. in Reading. She was in a bowling league at Bowl-A-Rama for many years.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Matthews, wife of Dennis J. Matthews of Douglassville, PA; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her cat Susie.<\/p>\n
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Leon M. Schaeffer and daughters Luanne and Lois Schaeffer.<\/p>\n
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sanders Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1501 N. 11th St., Reading.<\/p>\n
A viewing will be held 10:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM prior to the service.<\/p>\n
Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 West Neversink Rd., Reading.<\/p>\n
