Snow is coming to the Keystone State again. <\/p>\n
As the groundhog\u2019s recent prediction<\/a> made clear, winter is not going anywhere, as a winter weather mix will make its way through Pennsylvania starting on Saturday. <\/p>\n Forecasts from AccuWeather<\/a> and the U.S. National Weather Service in State College<\/a> predict that Pennsylvania will be hit with snow and rain. <\/p>\n U.S. National Weather Service State College meteorologist Matthew Teare said that although temperatures won\u2019t be as frigid as they were during Pennsylvania\u2019s last snowstorm<\/a>, there\u2019s still a chance of snow. <\/p>\n \u201c[Sunday is] where models have been suggesting some kind of snow event,\u201d Teare said. \u201cTemperatures largely around freezing, so not as cold as what we\u2019ve seen, at least with the previous major winter storm.\u201d <\/p>\n Much of the potential for heavy snow is expected in northern Pennsylvania and along the Great Lakes. These areas could start to see snowfall as early as Saturday. <\/p>\n Teare also said that as the coastal storm develops on Sunday, areas east of Harrisburg could see a higher chance of additional snow. <\/p>\n \u201cEspecially East of I-95, that\u2019s closer to where the storm is expected to develop,\u201d Teare said. \u201cThat\u2019s where the potential for heavier snow would be.\u201d <\/p>\n
