A dense fog advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 5:15 a.m. in effect until 9 a.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong and Indiana counties.<\/p>\n

The weather service adds to expect, “Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.”<\/p>\n

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” adds the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”<\/p>\n

Once stationary, deactivate all lights except the hazard flashers, engage the emergency brake, and release the brake pedal to ensure your tail lights remain unlit, minimizing the chance of other drivers colliding with your stationary vehicle.<\/p>\n
