\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Carolyn Palermo, Dunmore, died Thursday evening at Geisinger-CMC after being suddenly stricken ill. She is survived by her cherished husband of over 60 years, Vincent R. Palermo.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Dunmore on December 26, 1944, daughter of the late Americo John and Barbara Bridget Loretti, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and later attended Marywood University. She was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. Carolyn was a woman of deep faith who took care of everyones needs before her own. Her faith in God never wavered through years of suffering.<\/p>\n
\nIn addition to her beloved Vince, she is survived by nieces and nephews, Lisa Vellela Olsen of Cape Coral, FL; Thomas Vellela of Fort Myers, FL and his children Shelby Schossland, Madison Vellela, and Andrew Vellela; her brothers-in-law Richard Palermo of Heritage Village, CT and Ross Palermo, Jr. of Scranton, and his daughter Lisa Bonafede and husband Jeff.<\/p>\n
\nShe was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Vellela Mastro.<\/p>\n
\nMass of Christian Burial and interment was privately held.<\/p>\n
