A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 5:15 a.m. in effect until 9 a.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong and Indiana counties.<\/p>\n

The weather service adds to expect, \u201cVisibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLow visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,\u201d says the weather service. \u201cIf driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.\u201d<\/p>\n

If no designated parking area is available, pull your vehicle as far off the road as possible. Once stationary, deactivate all lights except the hazard flashers, engage the emergency brake, and release the brake pedal to ensure your tail lights are not illuminated, reducing the risk of other drivers colliding with your stationary vehicle.<\/p>\n
