WARMINSTER, Pa. (WPVI) — The Attorney General of Pennsylvania spoke with students Wednesday in Bucks County about social media’s impact on mental health.<\/p>\n
Dave Sunday visited William Tennent High School in Warminster.<\/p>\n
The discussion was meant to make the teenagers more aware of what social media can do to someone mentally.<\/p>\n
He also talked about the role the attorney general can play to encourage a safer social media environment.<\/p>\n
“As a father myself, I was encouraged to hear from students who spoke candidly about taking their mental health seriously,” Attorney General Sunday said.<\/p>\n
“As we continue to learn more about the effects social media can have on mental wellness, these students have the opportunity to lead by example and help others use these platforms in healthier, more positive ways,” he continued. “I appreciated hearing their perspectives today, and I look forward to future conversations with students across the Commonwealth.”<\/p>\n
The event kicked off a series of planned teen talks this week.<\/p>\n
