There is a lesser chance of 6 inches or more falling.<\/p>\n<p>The NWS early Friday morning messaging said two scenarios are depicted in current models.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA pass closer to the coast would mean more impacts with coastal flooding, wind, snow\/wintry mix, and marine navigation concerns,\u201d the 4:45 a.m. report stated. \u201cA pass farther southeast would mean still some light wintry precipitation (mostly snow), but lower winds, less risk of widespread tidal flooding, and less impacts overall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the track of the storm, accumulations will vary. The NWS said a better forecast should be available Friday night.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/us\/philadelphia\/19102\/weather-forecast\/350540\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">AccuWeather<\/a> was forecasting 1 to 2 inches of snow for the Philadelphia region on Sunday. The <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/weather\/hourbyhour\/l\/1f6f9851651ae31314e564a45a97ac1e6780f295adf762161768fb73b3bc6450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Weather Channel reported<\/a> it is tracking a nor\u2019easter without offering an accumulation estimate Friday morning, but included a prediction of 80% chance of rain\/snow on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>For today, rain is forecast to continue throughout the day, with a possibility of a wintry mix in the northern areas of the region covered by the NWS Mount Holly, N.J., office. A winter weather advisory was in effect until noon today for Carbon and Monroe counties in Pennsylvania and Sussex County in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>National Weather Service <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">forecast<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today: Rain before 3 p.m., then a slight chance of rain after 5 p.m. Patchy fog between noon and 2 p.m. High near 45 degrees. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind around 5 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 47. West wind 5 to 10 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday night: A chance of rain and snow between 1 and 4 a.m., then a chance of snow after 4 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 31. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday: Snow, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 4 p.m. High near 39. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than 1 inch possible.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday night: Snow. Low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 80%.<\/p>\n<p>Monday: A chance of snow before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39.
