Coach Wray and his staff have set up a 13-game slate that features seven games against teams that were in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Top 20 poll\u2014including five of the top six teams\u2014and four more against teams in the &#8220;also receiving votes&#8221; section. (The Red and Blue also was listed among IL&#8217;s teams receiving votes.) Following the Harvard game on March 14, the Quakers are home just one more time\u2014that comes April 4 against defending NCAA champion Cornell, which will also be Alumni Day for the Penn lacrosse programs.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*In addition, Penn is home more in February (4 games) than in March and April combined (2). We&#8217;re taking some liberties here; the fourth home game is really March 1, but we&#8217;re counting it as February since it happens on a weekend that also includes February dates.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nPreseason All-America Recognitions<br \/>\nSenior middie <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/griffin-scane\/24902\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24902\" target=\"_blank\">Griffin Scane<\/a> received honorable mention recognition by both USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse when they announced their Preseason All-America teams.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJunior SSDM <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/anthony-mcmullan\/24893\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24893\" target=\"_blank\">Anthony McMullan<\/a> received Preseason All-America honorable mention recognition from Inside Lacrosse for the second straight year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nQuaker Notemeal from UAlbany<br \/>\n*Penn used a sizable advantage on the face-off, winning the X 21-8 as <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ethan-costanzo\/24874\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24874\" target=\"_blank\">Ethan Costanzo<\/a> was 11-16 (.688) and freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/quinn-ball\/25534\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25534\" target=\"_blank\">Quinn Ball<\/a> was 8-9 (.889).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/davis-provost\/24899\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24899\" target=\"_blank\">Davis Provost<\/a> led the attack for the second straight game, scoring four goals and adding an assist for five points. He had 10 shots on the day.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Senior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/griffin-scane\/24902\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24902\" target=\"_blank\">Griffin Scane<\/a> also had four goals\u2014three of them coming in the decisive second quarter\u2014on eight shots.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jackson-maher\/25538\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25538\" target=\"_blank\">Jackson Maher<\/a> announced himself in a big way, with two goals and three assists for five points.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ben-beacham\/24871\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24871\" target=\"_blank\">Ben Beacham<\/a> and senior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/isaac-korus\/24883\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24883\" target=\"_blank\">Isaac Korus<\/a> were also two-goal scorers on Tuesday, Beacham adding an assist.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/leo-hoffman\/24882\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24882\" target=\"_blank\">Leo Hoffman<\/a> had Penn&#8217;s other goal and still another junior, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/grayson-mcclements\/24888\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24888\" target=\"_blank\">Grayson McClements<\/a>, dished off two assists.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n*<a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jack-pelot\/24898\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24898\" target=\"_blank\">Jack Pelot<\/a> once again got the start in goal and made nine saves on the day.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nNotemeal from Georgetown<br \/>\n*Penn met the Hoyas as equals almost across the scoresheet. The teams tied in shots, 34-34, and in ground balls, 28-28. The Quakers also narrowly won the faceoff battle, 13-12, and were a solid 20-22 clearing the ball.<\/p>\n<p>*Provost was Penn&#8217;s leading scorer; he opened the Quakers&#8217; account just 2:06 into the game and ended the day with three goals and an assist.<\/p>\n<p>*Scane and Beacham were two-goal scorers, with Beacham also dishing off an assist.<\/p>\n<p>*Senior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/travis-smith\/24903\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24903\" target=\"_blank\">Travis Smith<\/a>\u2014who sniped a goal on an extra-man opportunity\u2014and Maher were the Quakers&#8217; other goal scorers.<\/p>\n<p>*Hoffman, sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nate-lucchesi\/24884\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24884\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Lucchesi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/matt-mcmillen\/24892\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24892\" target=\"_blank\">Matt McMillen<\/a> had assists on the day.<\/p>\n<p>*At the other end of the field, Pelot made his collegiate debut in goal and finished the day with 12 saves.<\/p>\n<p>*Costanzo had a solid day among three Penn players who faced off; the senior went 7-10 on the X for a .700 win percentage.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nPreseason Notemeal<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Scane is Penn&#8217;s leading returning scorer, both in goals (25) and points (30). That included a team-high five EMO goals in 2025.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/davis-provost\/24899\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24899\" target=\"_blank\">Davis Provost<\/a> finished third on the team in goals (17) and points (24 last year.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/leo-hoffman\/24882\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24882\" target=\"_blank\">Leo Hoffman<\/a> was Penn&#8217;s leading assist man last year, with 11, and added four goals for 15 points in total.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/nate-lucchesi\/24884\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24884\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Lucchesi<\/a> was the Quakers&#8217; other double-digit scorer in 2025, with 10 points (4g\/6a).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Among the returning defenders, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ryan-mclaughlin\/24890\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24890\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan McLaughlin<\/a> had eight caused turnovers and 18 ground balls while <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/dante-vardaro\/24908\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24908\" target=\"_blank\">Dante Vardaro<\/a> had six CTs and eight GBs. <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ryan-sullivan\/24904\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24904\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Sullivan<\/a> started every game last season on close D and had five caused turnovers and nine ground balls.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*<a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/matthew-till\/24905\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24905\" target=\"_blank\">Matthew Till<\/a> was mostly an LSM last year but finished the campaign with 12 caused turnovers and 13 ground balls. Expect to see him back at LSM or on close D.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Among the SSDMs, McMullan leads the brigade but others who saw time last year include <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/jacob-pacheco\/24896\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24896\" target=\"_blank\">Jacob Pacheco<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/paul-vanbastelaar\/24907\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24907\" target=\"_blank\">Paul vanBastelaar<\/a>.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/stevie-davis\/24875\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24875\" target=\"_blank\">Stevie Davis<\/a> returns after taking most of Penn&#8217;s faceoffs a year ago; he was 106-231 on the X for a .459 win percentage. Other FOGOs to look for include seniors <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/mac-eldridge\/24876\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24876\" target=\"_blank\">Mac Eldridge<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/ethan-costanzo\/24874\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24874\" target=\"_blank\">Ethan Costanzo<\/a>, junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/will-roberts\/24900\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24900\" target=\"_blank\">Will Roberts<\/a>, and freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/quinn-ball\/25534\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25534\" target=\"_blank\">Quinn Ball<\/a>.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n*Obviously some big shoes to fill in goal, as <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/mens-lacrosse\/roster\/emmet-carroll\/24257\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"24257\" target=\"_blank\">Emmet Carroll<\/a> graduated after a standout career that included All-America honors as a junior.
