PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — This elevated public space in Philadelphia welcomed community members for a celebration of Lunar New Year.<\/p>\n

“It’s for people to gather, for people to…connect with the cultural assets in their neighborhood. It’s really special to be able to put that…front and center in a showcase… like our Lunar New Year festival,” said Executive Director of Friends of The Rail Park, Rebecca Chan.<\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Suns, Penn Lions, Ballet Sunmi, and more joined guests for the occasion at The Rail Park.<\/p>\n

“Rail Park historically was actually rail lines. So we’re on a viaduct right now. We’re almost a story above ground. Come spring and summer, the park really springs to life and it’s full of just really interesting plants, all native to Pennsylvania,” said Chan.<\/p>\n
