CARLISLE, Pa. – The 11th-ranked Dickinson men’s lacrosse team held a 56-17 edge in shots and got goals from ten different players en route to a dominant 15-6 non-conference win over the University of Scranton in home opener at Biddle Field on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\n\tDickinson was on the attack early with both Preston Boyd<\/a> and Ramsey Huggins<\/a> testing Declan Allen within the first two minutes. However, it would ultimately be Scranton who struck first thanks to Brendan Donohue.
\n\tThe Red and White had an immediate answer as Chase Squires<\/a> won back-to-back faceoffs setting up James Bruno<\/a> and Charlie Baughan<\/a> to make it 2-1 with 5:13 gone.
\n\tFollowing two more stops by Allen, Sam Bunten<\/a> found Boyd for a goal, before a save by Rocco Bognet<\/a> on Kyle Holmes led to Reid Bulger<\/a> getting out in transition stretching the lead to 4-1 with a little less than four to play.
\n\tBaughan added one more with 63-seconds left pushing it to 5-1. After another faceoff win for Squires, Tommy Baldini<\/a> missed the mark and Boyd rang the iron to end the period.

\n\tWith 3:06 off the clock Ben Monroe<\/a> connected with Cullen Mulhern<\/a> who rocketed a shot past Allen (6-1).\u00a0
\n\tBoth keepers were called upon over the next few minutes with Bognet shutting down Holmes, while at the other end Allen turned aside Landen Hyatt<\/a>, Luke Whalen<\/a> and Monroe.
\n\tThe Royals then rode the momentum from an Allen save to their second tally of the day thanks to Quinn Carson. However, a turnover caused by Will Single<\/a> set the stage for strikes from Owen Binder<\/a> and Monroe making it 8-2 inside of three minutes left.
\n\tEach team tallied once more before the break with Carson and Hyatt finding the back of their respective goals leaving DC in front 9-3 at halftime.

\n\tComing off a failed Scranton clear Baughan linked up with Mulhern for the 10-3 lead. Then, coming off another win by Squires, Allen shutdown the pair of James Bruno<\/a> and Baldini to keep the score where it was with five minutes gone.
\n\tDickinson tried to capitalize on a man-up chance, but the shot from Monroe clanged off the crossbar.\u00a0
\n\tThat allowed David Dubas to pull one back for the Royals, before Mulhern answered back two minutes later making 11-4.
\n\tDefense continued to be strong for the Red and White with Ethan Ferrant<\/a> and Bognet each causing a turnover resulting in missed shots for Caleb Oliver<\/a>, Baughan, Binder, Hyatt and Mulhern.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tHowever, the Devils would cash in once more as Monroe beat the horn for the 12-4 advantage.

\n\tDespite quality chances at both ends early in the frame nothing got by either Allen or Bognet. That was until the 7:44 mark when a Scranton giveaway forced by Holmes resulted in Bulger finding Taner Marusa<\/a> for the goal.\u00a0
\n\tBoth sides added two more goals with Charlie Cunningham<\/a> and Marusa striking for the Red and White, while Tommy Tremarco and Myles McCutcheon tallied for the Royals to set the 15-6 final.
