Mary Elizabeth Maloof Lopez, 81, of North East passed away Thursday February 19, 2026 at UPMC Hamot.<\/p>\n
She was born on October 20, 1944 in Erie, PA to the late Samuel and Lucille (Triana) Maloof.<\/p>\n
Mary graduated North East High School and worked at the AC Club in North East for over 35 years until retirement.<\/p>\n
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and reading.<\/p>\n
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Lopez Drennan; sister, Linda Byerly; brother, Charles Maloof; and nephew, Noah Byerly.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her close friend, Valentine; daughters, Rosa Kennedy and Barbara Lopez; sisters, Debbie Quant and Diane Appleton (Mark); brother, Frank Maloof (Valrie); Godchild, Nichole Ortiz; grandchildren, Brandon (April), Jason (Courtney), Amanda (Steven), Whitney (Eddie), Ronald, Carrie, Roni Lynn, Justin, Katie; many great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday February 27th from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Fr. Thomas Brooks. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.
