{"id":120717,"date":"2026-02-22T19:47:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-22T19:47:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/120717\/"},"modified":"2026-02-22T19:47:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-22T19:47:06","slug":"philadelphias-chinatown-celebrates-lunar-new-year-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/120717\/","title":{"rendered":"Philadelphia\u2019s Chinatown celebrates Lunar New Year 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? <a href=\"#Section1\">Let us know!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>Thousands packed Philadelphia\u2019s Chinatown on Sunday for the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DTyt6q8jbWC\/?img_index=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lunar New Year Parade<\/a>, even as the region frantically prepares for a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/whyy.org\/articles\/philadelphia-snow-storm-updates-sunday-forecast\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">potentially historic storm<\/a>\u201d bringing the risk of <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWS_MountHolly\/status\/2025487957545627964\" rel=\"nofollow\">blizzard conditions<\/a> overnight into Monday.\n<\/p>\n<p>Event organizers said the parade would happen rain or shine, and the crowds did not disappoint, even through cold rain and dropping temperatures.
