PRINCETON, N.J. \u2013 The University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team clinched the 2026 Ivy League Tournament title on Sunday at Princeton, taking down No. 2 Harvard, 5-4. Dartnell was named Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player after two terrific wins for the Red and Blue this weekend.

\nThe Crimson gave the Quakers all they could handle early on as they took three of the first four matches.
\n\u00a0
\nWith their backs against the wall, the Quakers had to dig deep to keep their title hopes alive.
\n\u00a0
\nAlex Dartnell<\/a> gutted out a 3-2 win in a highly physical and back-and-forth match in the four spot as the freshman ignited a rally for the Quakers.
\n\u00a0
\nMarwan Abdelsalam<\/a> followed with another 3-2 win for the Red and Blue in a battle with Harvard’s Omar Azzam in a thrilling match in the third position.
\n\u00a0
\nZane Patel<\/a> and Salman Khalil<\/a> had the next two wins for the Quakers as the match was all knotted up at four.
\n\u00a0
\nVarun Chitturi<\/a> faced off against Segev Rome in the eighth spot with an Ivy League title on the line.
\n\u00a0
\nChitturi took the first two games and looked to deliver the 3-0 sweep.
\n\u00a0
\nBut Rome would not surrender as he took a neck-and-neck fourth game, 12-10, as all eyes were on Chitturi to see if he would respond.
\n\u00a0
\nThe junior from Fremont, California did just that and won the fourth game 11-5 as the Quakers captured the title.<\/p>\n
