PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A Philadelphia man is charged with murdering his wife inside a car on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Police say 59-year-old Jose Luna shot and killed his wife, 48-year-old Alisett Schubert, on the 200 block of Huntingdon Pike in Rockledge, Montgomery County.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, Luna told investigators that he and his wife had been at a party earlier in the day and that he became angry because she “disrespected him in front of others.”<\/p>\n
Police arrived around 10 p.m. to find Schubert on the ground outside her silver Nissan Murano, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.<\/p>\n
A SEPTA bus driver told police he was driving on Huntingdon Pike when he approached a vehicle stopped in the roadway. He said he heard two or three “pops” and then saw a man exit the front passenger seat, open the driver’s side door and a woman fall out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Police found Luna about a mile away from the scene.<\/p>\n
Investigators say that as officers approached Luna, he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, but the weapon had apparently run out of ammunition. He was then taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Luna is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime.<\/p>\n
