WASHINGTON – Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, who represents the Lehigh Valley and parts of the Poconos, said a Head Start educator will be his guest to President Trump\u2019s State of the Union address.<\/p>\n
Mackenzie said he will bring Sarah Arndt, a Head Start educator in Lehighton, Carbon County, to the president\u2019s address, which is set to take place at the U.S. Capitol at 9 p.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Sarah Arndt is a Lead Teacher at PathStone Carbon County Head Start, where she has worked for the past 13 years supporting young learners and their families, according to a news release from Mackenzie\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
Mackenzie said she is dedicated to supporting children\u2019s academic, social, and emotional development and building strong partnerships with families.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough her work, she helps create a positive learning environment that prepares young students for long-term success,\u201d Mackenzie said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe work of Sarah and her colleagues highlights the critical role early childhood education and child care play in supporting our communities,\u201d said Congressman Mackenzie.<\/p>\n
