PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Owls head back on the road this week for a quad meet hosted by the University of Pittsburgh. The meet will be on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:00 PM and will be streamed on AAC Network Plus. Temple along with Pitt, Ball State, and Towson will be competing in the meet.<\/p>\n

Rotation 1 (VAULT: 48.675) Rotation 2 (BARS: 48.500) Rotation 3 (BEAM: 48.575) Rotation 4 (FLOOR: 48.825) SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION The Ball State Cardinals come into Friday’s meet with a 37th overall ranking in the NCAA. The Cardinals average a 195.019 this season. Ball State is currently riding a five-meet streak of posting a score of 195.025 or higher with the highest score in that stretch being a 195.675 against Illinois State, S.E. Missouri, and UW Oshkosh. The Cardinals ranks 33rd in the country on beam in part thanks to juniors Delaney McMahon and Ashley Szymanski. Both have scored team-high 9.925s this season on the beam.<\/p>\n EAGL member Towson Tigers come to the Steel City also ranked 38th in the country and average a 194.997 in 2026. The last time Temple and Towson faced off was at the 2025 EAGL Championships. Temple finished in second place and Towson in fourth place. The Tigers are coming off their best performance of the season after taking first place against George Washington, Eastern Michigan, and Fisk. Towson posted a 195.900 and had a representative take first place in all events except for one. Seniors Polina Velanovski and Isabella Minervini have made their marks this season on the 27th ranked floor lineup in the country. Each have posted at least one 9.900s on floor this season, contributing greatly to the success on the floor for the Tigers.<\/p>\n UP NEXT
\nFreshman Jade Harden<\/a> started her night off strong, posting the highest vault score for the Owls with a 9.800. Another freshman, Ava Sutphen<\/a>, marked her career-high on the vault with her 9.750. Nikki Rengifo<\/a> and Amelia Budd<\/a> posted a 9.775 and a 9.750, respectively. Friday marked Budd’s seventh time posting a vault score of a 9.750 or higher as she continues to show why she is the top vaulter in the EAGL Conference.<\/p>\n
\nRobyn Dunne<\/a> shined for Temple on the bars in the dual meet. The sophomore posted a 9.850 to not only lead the Owls on the night, but both schools competing. Junior Megan White<\/a> scored her third 9.725 in a row on bars, tying her season high. In the leadoff position, senior Reese DeHaan<\/a> notched the third highest score on bars for Temple with her 9.675.<\/p>\n
\nJunior Hailey Best<\/a> led the way on beam for the Owls posting a team-high 9.800. Dunne marked a 9.750 for the Cherry & White to help add to the second-highest beam score of the season for Temple. Nikki Rengifo<\/a> rides a four-meet streak of posting a 9.625 or higher on beam after Friday’s 9.725.<\/p>\n
\nJade Harden<\/a> competed for the first time on floor and she posted a 9.750 along with fellow freshmen Ella Beck<\/a> and Brooklyn Thomas<\/a>. Junior Amelia Budd<\/a> is now on a three-week streak of scoring a 9.800 or higher on the floor with her 9.800 against the Eagles. Sophomore Nikki Rengifo<\/a> marked another 9.775 on floor in the win for Temple.<\/p>\n
\nThe Pittsburgh Panthers enter this week’s meet sitting as the 38th team in the country, averaging a 195.088 this season. Although it hasn’t translated into wins, Pitt has posted a 194.650 or higher in every meet this season. The Panthers sit within the top-40 nationally in three events, with their best event being the bars as they rank 31st. Redshirt senior Hallie Cooperwheat and senior Jamie Pratt each have posted a 9.900 on the bars this season for Pitt, contributing to the team’s success in a big way.<\/p>\n
\nTemple will compete twice next week, once at home and once on the road. On Thursday, March 5 at 5:00 pm Temple will host Maryland, Penn, and Towson at McGonigle Hall.
