The district playoffs are winding down with many championship games set for this weekend across Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
The PIAA postseason begins next week with the brackets being finalized Sunday.<\/p>\n
Changes came from last week\u2019s state rankings with five teams falling out of the Top 5 after seeing their district title hopes come crashing down.<\/p>\n
Methacton and Roman Catholic in 6A, Holy Ghost Prep in 5A, Mohawk in 3A and Tri-Valley in 2A are out and have been replaced by Father Judge, Central Dauphin, Penncrest, Minersville and Constitution.<\/p>\n
There are three district title games coming up pitting ranked teams against each other.<\/p>\n
In the WPIAL, No. 3 Upper St. Clair faces No. 4 New Castle in 6A and No. 2 Sewickley Academy goes up against No. 3 Jeannette in 2A, and the District 3 Class 4A finals match No. 2 Berks Catholic and No. 4 Bishop McDevitt.<\/p>\n
There was one change at the top as Mohawk was stunned in the District 7 Class 3A quarterfinals, opening the door for Taylor Riverside to move up to No. 1.<\/p>\n
The other top teams remain the same with Imhotep Institute Charter in 6A, Neumann-Goretti in 5A, Cathedral Prep in 4A, Delone Catholic in 2A and Sankofa Freedom Academy in A still No. 1.<\/p>\n
