Born in Reading, PA on January 10, 1952, he was a son to the late Frederick W. Fry and Constance (Bloomfield) Fry. <\/p>\n<p>Jim was a 1969 graduate of Twin Valley High School and attended Williamsport Area Community College. He worked as a printer and also in electrical supply sales. Most recently, he worked for Colonial Electric for more than 15 years, serving as a warehouse manager and sales professional in customer service before retiring in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Jim was a life-long member of St. Mary\u2019s Episcopal Church, serving on the Vestry for many years. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling, proudly achieving a couple of 300 games and 700 series. He liked watching Flyers hockey, Phillies baseball, and looked forward to regularly playing cards with his friends. Above all, he was known as a kind and genuinely nice man. That is how many will remember him.<\/p>\n<p>Jim is survived by his sister, Kathy Ann Smith, and her husband Joseph Smith, of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>A viewing will be held at Auman\u2019s Inc., 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606, on February 28, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A prayer service will promptly commence in the funeral home at 10:30 am.
