{"id":123942,"date":"2026-02-26T09:20:23","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T09:20:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/123942\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T09:20:23","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T09:20:23","slug":"womens-swimming-and-diving-garners-eight-all-ivy-selections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/123942\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s Swimming and Diving Garners Eight All-Ivy Selections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                &#13;<br \/>\n                    Story Links&#13;<br \/>\n                    &#13;<br \/>\n                    &#13;<\/p>\n<p>                 PHILADELPHIA, Pa. \u2013 The Ivy League released their All-Ivy teams Wednesday, with the University of Pennsylvania women&#8217;s swimming and diving team landing two First Team All-Ivy and six Second Team All-Ivy selections.<\/p>\n<p>On the First Team All-Ivy side of things, seniors <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/sydney-bergstrom\/25214\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25214\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Bergstrom<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/sadie-howard\/25223\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25223\" target=\"_blank\">Sadie Howard<\/a> earned the nods with their first-place performances at the Ivy League Championships this past week. Bergstrom claimed the top spot in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:02.63, punching her ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Bergstrom was also recognized as Penn&#8217;s Academic All-Ivy selection for her efforts in the swimming pool and in the classroom. Howard earned her spot by winning the 3-meter dive with a 331.25. That score broke the previous record on the 3-meter dive by nearly 15 points.<\/p>\n<p>The Second Team All-Ivy selections include senior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/anna-moehn\/25228\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25228\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Moehn<\/a>, who placed second in the 500 &amp; 1650 free, junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/kate-handley\/25219\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25219\" target=\"_blank\">Kate Handley<\/a> (100 breast), junior <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/kate-levensten\/25226\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25226\" target=\"_blank\">Kate Levensten<\/a> (200 back), and sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/amy-qin\/25229\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25229\" target=\"_blank\">Amy Qin<\/a> (100 back). The Quakers also earned Second Team in the 400-medley relay, with the team consisting of <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/amy-qin\/25229\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25229\" target=\"_blank\">Amy Qin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/kate-handley\/25219\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25219\" target=\"_blank\">Kate Handley<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/maggie-hu\/25224\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25224\" target=\"_blank\">Maggie Hu<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/pennathletics.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/kayla-fu\/25218\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"25218\" target=\"_blank\">Kayla Fu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Quakers ended their Ivy League season on the highest note in program history, placing second at the Ivy League Championships courtesy of the performances above. The Quakers also secured the best regular season in a decade with a 10-2 final tally.
