ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) \u2014 A Lehigh Valley man accused by federal authorities in two different fraud schemes pleaded guilty Thursday.<\/p>\n
Justin Heimbach, 34, of Bath, pleaded guilty to six counts of mail fraud and four counts of fire fraud.<\/p>\n
He was charged in August 2024,<\/a> accused of schemes to defraud the federal government through the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program, and multiple car dealerships in a separate scheme.<\/p>\n The U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said Heimbach, who operated TeamKJ Construction, engaged in a scheme that led to several fraudulent pandemic unemployment assistance applications.<\/p>\n Those applications were filed in the names of people allegedly let go because of the pandemic, using materially false statements regarding their employment.<\/p>\n Authorities also alleged that Heimbach defrauded multiple Lehigh Valley car dealerships by purchasing several vehicles in the names of other construction companies registered to or associated with him, writing checks for those vehicles on closed bank accounts or accounts without enough funds to cover the transaction.<\/p>\n Download the abc27 News+ app on your Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV devices<\/a>, and newer Samsung Smart TVs.<\/a><\/p>\n He will be sentenced on June 11.<\/p>\n Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
