Pennsylvania saw modest net population growth<\/a> from July 2024 to July 2025, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau, but where are new residents coming from?<\/p>\n The Census Bureau estimated Pennsylvania had 13,059,432 residents as of July 1, 2025, up by 13,584 residents compared to the previous year. While some states lost residents during the pandemic, the Keystone State\u2019s population is up from its 2020 figure of 13,002,753.<\/p>\n A handful of states are leading in moves to Pennsylvania, including some in the Northeast, as well as some in the South.<\/p>\n While the commonwealth is gaining residents overall, Centre County\u2019s population declined<\/a> by about 3,000 residents from 2020 to 2024, the Centre Daily Times found in a recent analysis.
