Medical researchers are warning about the spread of measles in the U.S.<\/p>\n
New data published today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows the U.S. has surpassed 1,100 measles cases in just the first two months of the year.<\/p>\n
That’s six times higher than what’s typical for an entire year.<\/p>\n
The CD says more than 80% of cases are among children and teens and about 96% are in people who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.<\/p>\n
Health experts warn the U.S. is on track for another record-breaking year.<\/p>\n
Last year, nearly 2,300 measles cases were reported and three unvaccinated people died from it.<\/p>\n
