LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA \u2014 Numerous construction activities will be performed on Route 1 and Rockhill Drive this week, PennDOT said.<\/p>\n
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the work is under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of Route 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships.<\/p>\n
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:<\/p>\n
Sunday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 24, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Route 132 (Street Road) Interchange<\/a>. Monday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place on eastbound Rockhill Drive between Horizon Boulevard and Neshaminy Boulevard<\/a>. <\/p>\n Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
