It was a packed house at Big Bar this weekend \u2014 but this concert was about more than the music.<\/p>\n
Center Stage 2026 gave those with special needs the chance to shine alongside a well\u2011known local band \u2014 all for a powerful cause.<\/p>\n
Adults with intellectual disabilities and autism stepped into the spotlight Sunday night \u2014 and a packed crowd showed up to cheer them on.<\/p>\n
It was standing room only at Big Bar \u2014 as Center Stage 2026 brought music, inclusion, and community together under one roof.<\/p>\n
Hosted by Supportive Living Services, the concert gives adults 21 and older with intellectual disabilities and autism the opportunity to perform live.<\/p>\n
They didn’t take the stage alone. Erie\u2019s popular cover band First to Eleven performed crowd favorites from artists like Taylor Swift and Tom Cochrane \u2014 along with participants with disabilities singing alongside them.<\/p>\n
Before each performance, the band even interviewed the singers \u2014 giving them their own spotlight before the music started.<\/p>\n
Staff from Supportive Living Services say events like this build confidence, create connection, and remind everyone that talent has no limits.<\/p>\n
For the performers \u2014 it wasn\u2019t just about hitting the right notes.<\/p>\n
It was about being seen. Being heard. And being celebrated.<\/p>\n
