been with the Town of Erie since March 2025<\/a>, and had previously worked in Louisville, where she held multiple roles, including Public Relations Manager, City Clerk, and Interim Deputy City Manager.\n<\/p>\n\u201cAfter brief internal discussions, we provided Council with the suggestion that Meredyth would be a wonderful choice to act as Interim Town Manager,\u201d said Deputy Town Manager Melissa Wiley. \u201cShe brings recent, hands-on transition experience from Louisville, where she stepped in as Interim Deputy City Manager during a similar period. She already manages many of the functions and discussions that directly connect with Council, and her steady leadership will help ensure stability while minimizing speculation and preconceived assumptions during this transition.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Meredyth will be in this position until a new Town Manager is chosen by the Council. Council has given direction to staff to complete a full Request for Proposals (RFP) process to hire a recruiting firm that will complete a national search for Town Manager candidates. The Human Resources Department will create and post the RFP soon. The full search, interviews, and vote with the Council is expected to take at least 4-6 months to complete.\n<\/p>\n
