Law enforcement officials in Bensalem say Christine Toal, 56, was killed in an early morning house fire in Bensalem on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
According to police, first responders were called to a home along the 2700 block of Bellview Drive in Bensalem, at about 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, on a report of a house fire. <\/p>\n
Upon arrival to the home, officials said, heavy smoke could be seen pouring from the structure and a man outside the property alerted first responders that a woman was trapped inside the building. <\/p>\n
Firefighters entered through the front door and, according to police, they found Toal unconscious in the kitchen area of the property. <\/p>\n
She was immediately removed from the property and, officials said, EMS workers attempted life saving efforts, but they were unsuccessful. <\/p>\n
The man who was found at the scene was hospitalized for evaluation and treatment, officials said. <\/p>\n
Also, police said, crews extinguished the fire before is spread to neighboring homes. <\/p>\n
